Smart table designed for Auckland Lantern Festival that incorporates the communal principles of Chinese dining with a twist of augmented reality
Animated demonstration of the table, interface detects food through a unique code scan

⟡ Key Ideas and Goals ⟡

⟣ With the design brief focused on food and ethnic culture, we decided it will be most
fitting to create around the real world client of Auckland Lantern Festival. We received
support and guidance from the event organiser, Eric Ngan - Auckland Tourism, Events
and Economic Development, throughout our process.

⟣ As the PoC of the group, I was in charge of incorporating authentic cultural elements
into this project. This was important to the value of our design and to represent my
    Chinese background with pride.

⟣ While as the Technical Lead, I suggested the smart table idea, not only because it is
fitting culturally, but also innovative and engaging compared to phone apps.

⟡ Final Product Prototype
Mockups of the smart table at the Auckland Lantern Festival

⟣ We invited Eric Ngan to our class presentation on this project. He expressed interest
in producing this product for the next festival, but due to COVID-19 and event
    cancellations, development has been postponed.
